Rare Diseases

Layla Ulsh

Rare diseases are at fault for over 4,000 deaths of children under the age of 15 years old. This is caused by the lack of research on these topics because they are seen as less important than more common ones such as cancer. These diseases are not as common as others so scientists and doctors are more focused on the others. But this lack of scientific understanding of these diseases makes these diseases more deadly than the more common ones. Scientists do not know enough to stop the fatalities which makes them that much more dangerous. More children die from these unique diseases every year, but until the common ones are stopped, these diseases will continue to take lives.
